Anne Helen Wells is a Chicago-based hardware electronic artist making digital art pop about the love of pain and the pain of love. Her songwriting emphasizes the intimacy of BDSM and the self-actualization offered therein. Infusing pop fetishism with leatherdyke passion and hyperactive noise, she breaks herself to grow whole.
Defined by her howling narrative earworms, punctuated by taut sonic manipulation, and carried on relentless thunderous beats, her live performances at the Empty Bottle, Sleeping Village and Subterranean Downstairs have established Wells as a magnetic stage presence in Chicago’s electronic scene and beyond.
